This private gynecologist practice in Athens, features a smoked oak timber volume that separates the public and private areas. The layout of was organized according to the doctors program and offers a small WC for the clients, an infirmary that is accessible in two ways (direct from the doctor’s office and the waiting area) with its own bathroom used from the patients, a small kitchenette for the staff and the doctor’s office. The stone floor that evolves into the reception unifies the waiting area. A green wall is carefully placed In the space to create a more welcoming and pleasant environment. The volume of the smoked oak with brass details contains many uses: A kitchenette, a storage space and a bookcase that also serves as a screen. A floor to ceiling sliding door hides the kitchenette when not in use.
