Our design team created this boutique hotel room on the island of Karpathos with the intention of sparking a dialogue between the future inhabitants and the island’s rich culture. We carefully considered every detail to ensure a seamless integration of traditional elements and modern comforts.
The wood ceiling, hand-crafted bed headboard, and impeded art on the walls are all references to the island’s cultural heritage. These elements serve to create a warm and inviting atmosphere while providing a sense of place and history.
To enhance the depth and texture of the space, we treated all walls with a limewash finish. This technique not only adds depth to the room but also serves as a subtle reference to the traditional island architecture.
